An emergency situation caused me to call Popkin electric since my regular electrician of choice was having a family crisis. It wasn’t after more than a minute on the phone with Lucy that Andrew came on, understood my situation and said “I’m going myself to see what’s wrong.” Personal and conscientious attention such as this is rare. And so is Popkin Electric. Thank you so much, Andrew, for your prompt attention to and easy diagnosis and remedy of what could’ve become a very dangerous situation. I will use Popkin Electric for all my future electrical needs.

I can not say enough good things about Popkin Electric. From my initial phone call to the office with Lucy, meeting with Andrew to go over the work I wanted to be completed and through out the job everything was explained and carried out with the utmost professionalism as planned. I decided to add a few items and it was no problem at all. All of my questions were answered prior to the job and during the job with knowledgeable explanations. When Pablo and the crew left I was extremally happy with the end results and more importantly I felt that the job was done correctly and all safety concerns/issues were addressed. Popkin Electric is an excellent company. Andrew serviced several of our residential homes and most recently our commercial building in Hicksville. He was prompt, courteous, professional as well as fairly priced. Other electricians couldn't figure out the problem and PSEG was no help. Andrew not only was able to diagnose the problem, he contacted PSEG directly to get it sorted out. We highly recommend him.

I called up this business to seek help with an electrical issue at my house. Half of the electrical power was out. I spoke to Andrew and explained the problem. He gave me an option to do first, rather than sending his team and get charged for a service fee. I did what he said and problem was solved. Popkin Electric is the best. I upgraded/replaced the electric panel and fixed a couple of other issues. All works were very professionally done on time. Especially Mr. Andrew Popkin was very nice and professional. He knew what was wrong after talk over the phone in one min., I had power outage. This recommendation/review is about 17 years late! However, being in the same home for this period of time, and seeing what work held up and what work did not, I felt it was appropriate to leave a review now, 17 years later, as there is hardly any work that was done initially on my home that has lasted the test of time...except the electrical work. After 17 years, my electrical work done at my new home at the time by Popkin Electric is one of the very few jobs in which NOTHING has gone wrong. This is unique. Extensive project involving tons of wiring, fixtures and many unique job requests (I am a smart home and automation freak) and nothing has had to be replaced or serviced except for one ceiling fan, which oddly, was not something provided by Popkin, only installed. As a homeowner who paid great attention to all work being performed as my home was built, Popkin's wiring and circuits were a work of art. I regret not taking enough pictures before drywall went up as I want to open walls for my friends and show them the precision and perfection in everything they did, even the stuff nobody would see again. Amazing company, around forever and stellar work that stands the test of time, which I can vouch for at least 17 years!! I find that to be impressive! If you require a job to be done right and perfect the first time, you will be happy selecting Popkin Electric.

Popkin electric was excellent to work with. From the first phone call for an estimate to the completion of the job I was met with professionalism and excellent work. Mr.Popkin was courteous, and professional to work with in providing a estimate. I called for an estimate and he showed up the same day in the time frame he stated. After agreed upon contract Popkin electric scheduled the work and stuck to the day and time they stated. The gentleman whom did the work were courteous , informative and professional. I can’t say enough about this company. Great experience and excellent workmanship.

Our church had major renovations done along with replacing all lighting with LED fixtures. In addition we had installation of new outlets panels and outdoor floodlights. In every aspect of the work, Popkin electricians arrived on time, performed the tasks capably, and cleaned up after their work. Their help in designing and addressing our needs was invaluable. Moreover, they stood behind their work and returned to correct any issues that may have arisen. They helped us apply for funding available for converting to LED lighting. As project manager for the church, I wholeheartedly recommend Popkin and sons.
